Breath is an interactive installation that redefines the possibilities of
communication by shifting from a human-centered perspective to an
animal experience. Here, through the installation of Breath, we break with the traditional
human approach to communication by inviting participants to
communicate and experience the world in a primal way from the
perspective of whales.
The whales, responding to biological data rather
than language or gestures, create a shared environment where interaction
is driven by instinct and rhythm rather than hierarchy or control. This shift
emphasizes the equality of all life forms and challenges anthropocentric
views of the world.
In the context of digital media art, Breath explores the intersection of
organic processes and digital systems through real-time data, generative
visuals and immersive sound design.
The work encourages viewers to reexamine
their place in the natural world and explore ways of perceiving
and interacting with life beyond human norms.
